Why Choose AXIS?

At AXIS, I believe that every young person has strengths, potential, and a future worth striving for, even when anxiety, ADHD, Autism, low confidence, emotional regulation difficulties, or school challenges make it difficult for them to see it themselves.

My approach combines over 20 years of educational experience with lived experience as a parent of two neurodiverse children. This allows me to understand the challenges from both sides of the conversation, not only as a professional but as a parent who has experienced the uncertainty, frustration, and determination that often comes with supporting a child who thinks and learns differently.

I understand that behaviour is communication. Behind anger is often frustration. Behind withdrawal is often anxiety. Behind resistance is often a young person who has lost confidence in themselves.

Rather than focusing on labels or limitations, I focus on understanding the individual. Together we explore what is getting in the way, identify practical solutions, and build the skills needed to move forward with confidence.

What Makes AXIS Different?

We focus on the whole young person

Not just the behaviour, diagnosis, or challenges they are experiencing.

We build real-life skills

The strategies we develop can be used at home, in school, college, work, and everyday situations.

We work with families

Supporting a young person works best when everyone feels informed and supported. I believe in creating a collaborative relationship with parents while helping teenagers develop their own voice and independence.

We focus on strengths, not deficits

Young people often spend years hearing what they struggle with. At AXIS, we help them identify what they do well and how they can use those strengths to achieve success.

We create lasting change

The goal isn't simply to solve today's problem. The goal is to help young people develop the confidence, resilience, and self-understanding they need for life.

The Vision

My vision is simple:

To help young people feel seen, understood, and capable.

To help them overcome barriers that may be holding them back.

To help them develop confidence in who they are and what they can achieve.

And to help families feel hopeful about the future again.

Because every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, and sometimes all it takes is the right support, the right strategies, and someone who believes in them until they can believe in themselves.
