Welcome to AXIS Coaching & Learning

Hi, I'm Yvonne, founder of AXIS Coaching & Learning.

I help teenagers build confidence, better understand themselves, overcome barriers, and create a positive direction for their future.

Whether your young person is struggling with aspects of ADHD, Autism, Anxiety or emotional regulation. I believe through coaching, learning and personal support every young person can recognise their strengths, believe in their potential and achieve success.

For over 20 years, I have worked with young people, helping them develop the skills, confidence, and understanding they need to move forward in life. Throughout that time, I have seen how quickly teenagers can be labelled as difficult, lazy, disruptive, or unmotivated. Yet beneath those labels is often a young person who feels overwhelmed, misunderstood, exhausted, or unsure of how to navigate the challenges they face.

I believe every young person deserves to feel seen, understood, and valued for who they are.

As a mum of two now-grown neurodiverse children, I also understand this journey from a parent's perspective. I know the worry of wondering whether your child will be okay, the frustration of navigating support systems, and the emotional exhaustion that can come from constantly advocating for your child while trying to find the right help.

My experience as both an educator and parent has taught me that our young people do not need us to lower our expectations of them. They need us to understand them, meet them where they are, and help them see what is truly possible for their future.

At AXIS, I don't believe in simply talking about problems without helping a young person move forward. My approach is supportive, practical, and strengths-based. Together, we build confidence, develop self-belief, and create strategies that can be used in everyday life.

Sometimes that means helping a young person take the first step towards something they never thought possible. Sometimes it means being a trusted person outside of family and school who listens without judgement and helps them discover the strengths they may not yet see in themselves.

Because when a young person feels understood, supported, and empowered, incredible things can happen.

Every young person has potential. Sometimes they just need the right support to help them find their direction.
